Product Description of 3A Molecular Sieve Desiccant

 

Selective Adsorption Based on Molecular Polarity, Unsaturation and Polarizability
Molecular sieves have a high affinity for polar molecules and unsaturated molecules; among non-polar molecules, they have a higher selective adsorption advantage for molecules with a high polarizability. In addition, the lower the boiling point of the molecule, the less easily adsorbed by the molecular sieve.

 

Molecular sieves have a high affinity for H2O, NH3, H2S, CO2 and other polymer polarities, especially for water, at low partial pressure (even below 133 Pa) or low concentration, high temperature (even above 100 ℃) and so on. It still has high adsorption capacity under severe conditions. 

 

Molecular sieve is the only high-temperature adsorbent available. At 100 ℃ and 1.3 % relative humidity, the molecular sieve can absorb 15% by weight of water. So at higher temperatures, molecular sieve can still absorb a considerable amount of water, and activated alumina, especially silica gel, greatly lost the adsorption capacity.
