The 3A molecular sieve features a large specific surface area with uniform particle size, smooth appearance, and high mechanical strength. It exhibits strong dilution capabilities, no swelling after water absorption, no cracking, maintains original state, is odorless, and insoluble in water and ethanol.
In industrial production, it's used for drying gases including air, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. Typically, two adsorption dryers are connected in parallel - one operates while the other regenerates, ensuring continuous equipment operation. The dryer works at 8-12°C and regenerates by flushing under heating to 350°C. Molecular sieves also provide good catalytic effects for certain organic gas reactions.
3A molecular sieve is an alkali metal aluminosilicate, also known as 3A zeolite molecular sieve.
