Product Description of 3A Molecular Sieve Desiccant

Molecular sieves and related materials (including most microporous and mesoporous materials with regular pore structures) are a branch of catalysis and materials that has a significant impact on scientific, technological and industrial processes. Molecular sieves are one of the most important groups of industrial heterogeneous catalysts. They are widely used in refining and petrochemical processes, and are increasingly used in environmental catalysis and fine chemical synthesis.


Molecular sieves are the crystalline structure of microporous aluminosilicates, which provides the possibility for their modification. To date, about 200 molecular sieves of different structures, sizes, and shapes have been discovered, and the channels are usually composed of 8 to 30 rings. Molecular sieve pore structures sometimes exceed 1 nm, but it is worth emphasizing that the maximum pore size for industrial applications is 0.74 nm (12 rings). The controllability of its structure and the adjustability of its acidity (acid type, concentration and strength of acid sites) are the most important characteristics of molecular sieves.
