Product Description of Refrigerant Desiccant
There is not only dirt but also moisture in the refrigeration system. There are many sources of moisture. The refrigeration oil contains moisture, and the refrigerant contains moisture. After drying, their moisture content is relatively small. However, due to various reasons, there will still be a small amount of water intrusion in the system, and even the water will be excessive. The purpose of using XH series molecular sieve desiccant is to adsorb the residual moisture in the molecular sieve and prevent it from flowing in the system. The drying methods of the refrigeration system are as follows:
1. Vacuum drying method: Put the complete refrigeration system into a high-temperature oven, exhaust with a vacuum pump, and the water in the system is heated to form water vapor. When the vacuum pump is exhausted, the water vapor remaining in the system is also discharged together.
2. Dry air blowing method: During the heating vacuum process, the vacuum pump is stopped, and then heated dry air or dry nitrogen is added, and the moisture in the system is absorbed by the dry air or dry nitrogen, and then the vacuuming operation is continued. Repeat 2-3 times to achieve the purpose of drying.
3. Continuous air drying method: Heat and dry air with a dew point temperature below -40°C to the refrigeration system in the oven, inflate and deflate continuously and slowly, so that the charged air absorbs the moisture inside the system and then discharges it out. The oven temperature can be maintained at 120°c-140°c, which is the best way to absorb water.
4. Desiccant water absorption method: This method is a supplement to the drying treatment in many of the above methods, and is permanently installed in the refrigeration system as one of the components. There is a mixed solid desiccant, which is composed of molecular sieve with strong moisture absorption and activated alumina with strong acid absorption and other desiccants. (XH series of molecular sieves).

  • XH-5 used commercially for dehydration and drying of refrigerants R12, R22.
  • XH-7 used for dehydration and drying of new refrigerants R-134a in household and commercial refrigerators, iceboxes and air conditioners. It is also used for specialized refrigerants such as butane in "green" refrigerators.
  • XH-9 used commercially in drying refrigerants in air conditioners, iceboxes and refrigerators in cars, station wagons, refrigerating trucks, trains and ships.(Excludes refrigerant mixtures containing difluoromethane)
  • XH-11 available in bead for dehydration and drying of refrigerants R407c, R-410A. or Medium high temperature refrigerant.
